

Dale W. Vorpahl, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, entered into eternal rest, on April 11, 2013, at the age of 75. He was born in Guadalupe County, Texas, to parents Richard and Martha Vorpahl, on January 14, 1938. Dale was an avid hunter and salt-water fisherman. He retired as a foreman at the Big Red Bottling Company, where he worked for over 40 years. He will always be remembered for the love and dedication he had for his family and he will be deeply missed. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 24 years, Joy L. Vorpahl, and his brothers, Glenn and Kermit Vorpahl. He is survived by his daughter, Debbra Williams and her husband, Jacob De La Rosa; son, Gary Aiken and his wife, Paige Aiken; grandchildren, Jason Aiken, Amber Kocian and her husband, Ray Casanova; great-grandchildren, Lacey Kocian, Alexis Casanova, and Daron Canales; sister, Lucile Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held the following day, Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 12:00 p.m., in the Sunset Funeral Chapel.
