Daniel (“Danny”) Wade Bryant passed away on April 26, 2023 after a three-week battle in the Intensive Care Unit at Brooks Army Medical Center Burn Unit in San Antonio, TX. A special thanks to Nurses – Dulce, Ben and Mikey, who took extra care to make him comfortable. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Gina Prince Bryant; his children Mariann Nichole Gaspredes (Jonathan), Amber Sananikone (Arik) and Matthew Everett Bryant (Amanda); step-children, Christopher Seth Aboud and Amber Marie Aboud; one-grandchild, Everett Gaspredes; sisters, Diane Whitworth (Jerry); Janet Wilems (Rick); Judy Ross (Tom) and David Bryant (Marie); sister-in-law, Brenda Shumate; half-sister, Kathy Feeny (Steve) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Chester Wade Bryant, Angeline Bryndza Bryant and brother, Tom Shumate. Danny was born on December 12, 1959. He attended Catholic School until junior high where he attended Driscoll Middle School and was a proud Miller High School graduate – “Once a Buc” – “Always a Buc”.
Danny followed in his father’s footsteps and became a welder at an early age – 15 years old. He worked side-by-side with his father and his closest friends, Dave Pohlers (aka DP) and Jesse Valdez. In addition to welding, Danny enjoyed talking about his children who he adored, fishing with his sister Diane, and betting on the Cowboys with his brother, David. Danny leaves behind his buddy, “Indigo,” a sweet dog he adopted who followed him everywhere. Gina and Danny shared a passion for country music, and one of Danny’s favorite places to go was Nashville, Tennessee, the spot where he proposed to her. Danny will be remembered as a kind soul who didn’t know how to say “no” – he would give a helping hand wherever was needed. His family will miss his BBQ and his competitive nature playing some of his favorite games: pool, rummy, and family poker!
It was Danny’s wish to have a Celebration of Life – to share stores and good memories. Details of this Celebration will be shared on Facebook on Gina Klaus Prince’s page. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the FOCUS Foundation at https://www.coastlifecu.com/home/focus or FOCUS Foundation, c/o CoastLife Credit Union, 6810 Saratoga Boulevard, Corpus Christi, TX 78413. These donations will be distributed in the form of a Danny Bryant Scholarship for a welding student. This is our way to honor a great man, brother, father, husband, and best friend.
He will never be forgotten. Until we see you again.
