To me, Daniel could not be encapsulated by a single moment, but rather by the genuine warmth he gave off whenever I was around him. I love and miss you Daniel.'

'I've been avoiding writing anything here because nothing I can write will ever come close to encapsulating the type of person Dan was. Luckily, we all know because Daniel's kind, gentle, and fun loving spirit radiated from him so obviously. So instead of trying to formulate a well written description of my beautiful cousin I will thank my aunt Peachie and uncle John for raising such an amazing person. It is no mystery as to where Daniel learned to be so generous and FUN! As for my favorite memories, there are far too many to tell. The best moments of my life involve Daniel; backroom and basement jam sessions (especially those during the Griswold Christmas celebrations), Dan and Brad taking me to my first DMB concert, seeing Daniel interact with little Henry and walking with Daniel to the altar where we would witness Brad and Linds getting married. Dan passed into heaven on the same day His nephew, my son was being baptised. I know in my heart they finally met that day. Thank you again John and Peachie. My heart goes out to all those who were touched by Daniel's kind and gentle spirit. He will live on in our hearts and through our amazing memories.'

'Daniel was a man of joy. Ever since I can remember, he was always the one to bring joy and laughter into the room. Whether it was selling Heider's firewood around the neighborhood, or taking bets on who would win the wrestling match between Jonny and Ryan, Dan was always there making sure everyone was included and having a good time. No matter the circumstances, Dan was there in the fullest. He was there holding the door for Grandma and Grandpa, eating the cookies Aunt Gail was pawning off just so she didn't feel like she was wasting them, and always asking what it was that me and my brothers were up to at that point in our lives. Dan was present and engaged. And he will be, forever and always. I'll never forget all the time he spent teaching me how to play wiffle ball in the backyard. While my skills might not be the greatest (my friends can attest to them), I'll always cherish what he taught me and the time I got to spend with him. Dan, you will always hold a special place in my heart.
