

Daniel A. Gonzalez, affectionately known as Danny, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the age of 95. Born in Del Rio, Texas, on August 2, 1928, Danny was the son of hardworking parents, Carmen and Daniel P. Gonzalez. His father's printing service became more than just a business; it was where Danny learned the value of dedication and service from a young age, starting to work there at just 11 years old.
Danny's life was marked by a profound commitment to his country. He served with honor and distinction in the United States Army, embodying the principles of duty and bravery that define the armed forces.
Beyond his military service, Danny's greatest legacy lies in the love and devotion he shared with his family. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, sister, Rose Marie Wilson and her husband Tom Wilson; sister-in-law, Rose Gonzalez; and brother, David Gonzalez and his wife Virginia. Danny leaves behind a cherished and loving family. His wife, Alicia S. Gonzalez, stood by his side through thick and thin, sharing in life's joys and challenges. Together, they created a home filled with love and warmth.
He is also survived by children, Daniel A. Gonzalez, Jr. and his wife Janie, Dana L. Lozano and her husband, David, Marcus J. Gonzalez, and Deborah J. Perez, Grandchildren, Daniel A. Gonzalez, III and his wife, Sarah, Stephanie Danielle Perez and her husband Jesus Cavazos, and Austin Bryan Perez, brother, Robert R. Gonzalez, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Danny will be remembered not only for his dedication to his family and country but also for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering strength. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive guests from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
