

Daniel Longoria Jr. passed away leaving behind a legacy of faith, dedication, and deep love for his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Manuela Longoria and Daniel Longoria Sr., as well as his brothers Tomas Renteria, Robert Longoria, and Carlos Longoria.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Elvira Longoria, with whom he shared a life filled with love and companionship. He also leaves behind his four cherished children, Sandra Longoria, Daniel Longoria III, Marco Longoria, and Celeste Dean, along with his five treasured grandchildren: Aviana, Elora, Ivelisse, Niko, and River, all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy in his life.
Daniel graduated in 1965 from East Chicago Washington High School in Indiana. He went on to build a long and respected career as a Plant Technician with DuPont de Nemours, Inc., where he worked from 1974 until his retirement in 2008. His commitment to excellence was recognized with the DuPont Safety Excellence Medal in 1997.
A man of many talents and interests, Daniel earned his Private Pilot Ground School certification from Del Mar College in 1978. He also enjoyed memorable achievements in his personal life, including a remarkable hole-in-one on the 15th hole at 209 yards in 1991, earning recognition from PING Golf Equipment and the Gabe Lozano Golf Club. His faith remained an important part of his life, and he was honored as a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus in 1994.
Daniel found joy in simple pleasures—playing golf and billiards, exploring new restaurants with his wife, and most importantly, spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a devoted family man who always put his loved ones first, extending his care not only to his immediate family but to his extended family as well.
His life was deeply rooted in faith from a young age. Beginning as an altar boy, Daniel continued his service to the Lord throughout his life, later serving as a Lector at his church. His love for God was reflected in his kindness, generosity, and the way he lived each day with compassion and integrity.
Daniel Longoria’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Family Visitation will be held at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas 78232, on April 24, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Public Visitation will be held at the same location from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Rosary will follow at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas 78232, on April 24, 2026, beginning at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at the same location at 7:30 pm.
