Due to his youth he was a non-traditional parent who was known to be a cool dad. Nevertheless, his goal was for his children to have the tools to take care of themselves when he was not around. Daniel loved to have fun with his children. He was unpredictable and while picking up his children from school activities, he honked his car horn, playing loud music varying from Classical music to Tejano Music to Hard Rock, while shouting their names loudly. He loved to make his children laugh and create lasting fond memories.
Daniel was a doting and COOL grandfather and LOVED, LOVED, his grandchildren. He took great pleasure in playing Santa during Christmas, being involved in their many interests and school activities, or just simply talking to them. He would enjoy picking up his grandchildren from school whenever he had a chance. He would wear cool clothes like leather jackets, various types of hats or cool T-Shirts. He once owned an Eclipse with a sunroof which he would open while driving up to get them nachos and drinks while talking to them about their day. His babies brought him great comfort and joy up to his last days.
Daniel loved collecting science fiction books and magazines and was huge fan of Star Wars and Star Trek often quoting lines at his children when needing to make a point such as “Only a Sith Lord believes in absolutes.” or other quotes such as “Break the deal, face the wheel.” He was a true Star Wars Mandalorian/Baby Yoda fan even wearing a custom-made t-shirt with his grandchildren representing the character.
