

Born on August 2, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas, to Bobbie Jean Girdy, Darren was a devoted husband, loving brother, cherished uncle, and faithful friend. He lived a life filled with compassion, community, and a deep love for those around him.
Darren was an active and passionate volunteer with Inner City Development, always willing to give his time and heart to serve others. His kindness and dedication left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He also had a deep love for sports and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams — the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, and Texas Longhorns.
Darren is now reunited in heaven with his beloved mother, Bobbie Jean Girdy, and his brother, Aubrey Girdy. Though he has departed from this world, his memory and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Millie Girdy; his loving sisters, Jacqueline Boston (Eugene) and Karen Rhodes (Charles); and his cherished nieces, Natasha Girdy, Angela Monroe, and Jaydah Monroe. Darren also leaves behind numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 with a Prayer service at 7:00 PM, and services will conclude in the chapel that evening.
Darren’s warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will continue to echo in the lives of all who had the honor of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
