

David Michael Cole, 68, of Bulverde, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 in San Antonio. He was born on March 17, 1947 in Norman, Oklahoma to Ralph and Theresa Cole, graduated from Empire High School, Empire, Oklahoma in 1965 and attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman. A proud Air Force veteran, he did two tours of duty in Vietnam. Prior to retiring, David was employed for 26 years at MSI Data Corporation/Symbol Technologies, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia and Costa Mesa, California. The latest position held was Director of Retail Applications. In addition to being a former member of the Escape Van Club, the Newport Beach Sailing Club and the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club, he also enjoyed RV-ing, reading, computer programming and, most recently, serving at Saint Vincent de Paul at St. Joseph Catholic Church-Honey Creek in Spring Branch. He was preceded in death by his dad, Ralph Cole; his mother, Theresa Horn; his brother Richard Cole; and father-in-law, Jerry L. Salazar. He is survived by his wife, Julie M. Cole; brother, Gordon Cole and wife, Marvina, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sister, Janet Cadena and husband, Rick of Moore, Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Maxine Salazar Franco of Odessa, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
