David E. Fiems

David E. Fiems, age 75, passed away December 9, 2018 in San Antonio, TX. David was born on August 8, 1943 in Moline, IL. David served in the Navy in 1960 until he was medically discharged in 1961. David worked for the Chicago Rock Island & Pacific Railroad for 18 years until 1980. He went on to work for Chrome Crankshaft until moving to San Antonio in 1983. He retired on July of 2002 from Rooster Products. David's passions were golf, ice cream and his yard. He played at all of the San Antonio Golf Courses but his favorite was Riverside Golf Course. David's favorite ice cream was Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla and enjoyed it most every night. David worked hard taking care of his yard, he would receive numerous compliments about it. He and his wife are members of NorthRock Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archiel and Lois Fiems, his brothers, Daniel Fiems, John Fiems, James Fiems and Bobby Fiems. David is survived by his wife of 43 years, Molly Fiems; son, Jeffrey Curry; siblings, Ruth Torrison (Michael), Kathryn Fiems, Christine Powell (Craig), Victoria Young (Carl), Deborah Fiems (Jeff Henion), Mark Fiems (Kimberly), Rebecca Nethercutt (Matthew) and Steven Fiems. David is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friend from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
