

David was born in Montgomery, Alabama, to George A. Gentry, Jr and Leslie Ruth Posseno Gentry. He graduated from high school in Ocean Springs, Missisippi and from UTSA with a BS degree in Biology. He passed into our Lord’s hands on October 14, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas.
David was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents, George and LeMerle Gentry and Leo and Dorothy Posseno; and his uncles, Glenn and Michael Posseno; and his uncle and aunt, Wilbur and Margo Turner. He is survived by his father; step-mother, Laura Graham Gentry; step-sister, Lisa D. Graham; step-brothers, James H. Graham, Jr. and William M. Graham; aunts and uncle, Jim and Mickey Daugherty, and Alice Posseno; cousins, Gina Conatser, Kimberly Koehler, Gretchen Soniat and Christopher Posseno; nephew, Trey Graham; nieces, Jamie Nickle, Nadia Graham, Makenna Graham, Elena Graham, and Lynzie Graham; and many other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio for their heroic and compassionate care, not only during David’s most recent hospital stays but throughout his time under their care.
A private inurnment will take place on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Slidell, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in David’s honor be made to the National Hemophilia Foundation, 7 Pennsylvania Plaza #1204, New York, NY 10001 or a charity of your choice.
