

David was a Christian man. He cherished his family and friends deeply. His kindness, strength, and humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He dedicated over 30 years of service to the City of Austin Police Department, where he proudly worked in the IT Unit before retiring. His commitment, integrity, and loyalty defined his career and reflected the values he lived by every day.
David was the youngest child of Alfred and Betty Hamann. He was preceded in death by his parents and multiple siblings who have already passed before him.
He is survived by his two loving daughters, Samantha J. Rodriguez and Vanessa D. Peterson; his brother, Kyle Eberwine; and his multiple treasured grandchildren, Ariel Hamann, Marichel & Isaac Rodriguez, & Nayeli Munoz, who brought endless pride and joy to his life, as well as his friends. He is also survived by his loyal companion and beloved dog, Bell.
David will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his lifelong service, and the love he freely gave. While his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
