David O. Pearson, Sr.

David O. Pearson, Sr., age 81, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on August 17, 1942, to parents Isaac Oliver Pearson and Marie Olivia Dion. David graduated from Central Catholic High School and Southwest Texas State University. He retired from City Public Service in San Antonio with over 30 years of service. Hunting, fishing, and traveling with family and friends brought him much enjoyment. His adventures took him from the Texas coast to the scenic remotes of West Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. Cruises though the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Panama, along with the beauty of the Inland Passage to Alaska were some of his most memorable adventures. A four-month road tour of Canada and Alaska in 1999 was a special highlight. “Popo” loved to attend his grandchildren’s school activities and he was always eager to share their antics with all his friends and family. He was a long-time parishioner of Holy Name Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gayle F. Pearson; and son, David O. Pearson, Jr. David is survived by sons, Dean R. Pearson (Natalie), Dale G. Pearson (Katherine); daughter in law, Kathleen Pearson (David, Jr.-deceased); grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Micayla, Jake, Brandon, Justin, Oliver, Gemma, Garret, and Katelyn Pearson.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 25, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
