He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Watson; two infant sons.
He is survived by his daughter, Janis Aston and husband Andrew; grandsons, Brandon, Christopher, and Nathan; sister, Phyllis Hediger and husband Joe; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
David worked for City Public Service for over 30 years.
The Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The private committal service will be at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
