

Dean Frank Cameron, 50, of San Antonio passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at home. Dean was born April 5, 1962, at the Nix Hospital, in San Antonio to the late, Travis O. Cameron and Clara L. Cameron. He graduated from Highlands High School with the Class of 1980. He showed interest in electronics and was a licensed ham radio operator studying to be an electrical engineer and had attended San Antonio College and UTSA. He joined the Marines and lived briefly in San Diego during his basic training. He also lived for a very short time in Del Rio, and mostly was a lifelong resident of Bexar County living in San Antonio. Dean was a happy and joyful and caring man. Whenever given the opportunity, he loved to cook and enjoyed a relaxing life and being around good people during his time spent each week at the Kirby Adult Daycare.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Charles Malcolm Cameron and Emma Carl Cameron of Buffalo, Texas and Cesario Gonzalez and Dolores Suarez of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Dean is very lovingly survived by his twin sister, Caroline Kreitler of Abilene and brother-in-law, Bruce Kreitler; older sisters; Evelyn Cameron of Washington D.C. and Catherine Raveia of Fairfax, Virginia and brother-in-law, Dan Raveia, along with 7 nieces, 2 nephews, 3 great nieces, and 3 great nephews.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Park.
