Dena K. Paciorek “DP”, MSgt. USAF (Ret.), a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 64. She was born on April 19, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas to Neva and Otis Frymire. Dena’s remarkable life was defined by her dedication to family, her service to her country, and her passion for travel.
Dena was a gifted student, graduating high school early and taking college classes while still in high school. Her determination and drive set the stage for the extraordinary path she walked in both her personal and professional life.
A proud veteran, she served in the United States Air Force 21 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant after a distinguished career that took her across the world. She joined the Air Force Reserves at the age of 17 and later became active duty. While working in the medical field she made a lasting impact on countless lives. She loved the experiences her military career gave her, especially the opportunity to travel and see different parts of the world, which she cherished throughout her life.
Dena received numerous awards and accolades from her superiors for her outstanding job performance and dedication. Because of this she was entrusted to provide the best medical care for the Very Important Personnel and their family members. Dena was selected ahead of her peers to supervise the Minor Surgery Clinic and Emergency Rooms at several locations worldwide.
After Dena retired from the Air Force, she continued her education. Dena started her second career in Information Technology (IT) at Lear Siegler Services. As IT Manager she assured two server room locations and over 50 computers were up and running for a very critical government contract.
Beyond her career, Dena had a heart as big as her adventures. She adored her pets and was always there for friends and neighbors, offering to house-sit or care for their animals whenever needed. Her kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand were just a few of the many qualities that made her so loved by those around her.
Dena enjoyed reading, taking cruises and putting together puzzles of her pets and landmarks she visited.
In her free time, she liked watching game shows, comedies, mysteries and soap operas. But most of all she loved spending time with her nephew’s kids.
Dena's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the people and causes she held dear.
She is preceded in death by her father. Dena is survived by her husband of 39 years, Joseph Paciorek; daughter, Anita Cooke; mother, Neva Frymire; brother, Sterling Frymire; nephews, Chad Frymire, Blake Frymire, and John Labhun.
