Denise Marie Cruz

Born on September 28, 1986, Denise was a vibrant soul who brought warmth, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew her. She had a passion for life that was evident in the way she enjoyed shopping, pampering herself, cooking delicious meals, and most of all, spending meaningful time with her family and friends.

Denise is preceded in death by her beloved sister, Sarah Lynn Barboza; her dear aunt, Terry Perez; and her father-in-law, Javier Cruz.

She is survived by her cherished daughters, Tanya Barboza (Marcus Saenz) and Ariel Cruz; her husband, Donnie Cruz and was joyfully anticipating the arrival of her first granddaughter, Layla Marie. Denise also leaves behind her loving parents, Monica and Jose Barboza; her brother, Charles Barboza (Klarisa Romero); her grandmother, Manuela Rodriguez; and numerous extended family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Denise’s life, sharing memories, and celebrating the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Denise will be remembered for her generous spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the joy she brought into every room she entered. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will live on in all who knew her.
