Derrick Lamont Stewart

Derrick was united in Holy Matrimony on October 19, 2005 to Sallie Taylor. She was the love of his life. Once married, he lived faithfully with her until the Lord called him home.

Derrick reunited with the Lord while in the hospital in December 2014. He sent for Pastor Royce B. Priestly to give him the right hand of fellowship, in order for him to be a member of The Rose of Sharon Ministries.

Derrick was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a loving person with a great heart. Always willing to help those in need, without limitations. His last job before becoming ill was with The Salvation Army.

Derrick was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Ernestine Smith. His sisters, Zandra, Linda and Wanda Stewart. On January 22, 2015, Derrick peacefully departed this life. He leaves to cherish his precious memories to his devoted wife, Sallie, his two children, Chanelle Martinez, of New Mexico, and Brian Davis of Albuquerque. His siblings: Charles, Erine (Gwen), Darryl, Michael, Veronica, Kevin M. (Alicia), Kevin R., Greg, Marlon, Opal, Florine, Lincoln, and Charlette. In addition, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving relative and friends.
