

Derrik F. Mollenhauer, age 78, was called home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 13, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Derrik was born on October 30, 1946, in Queens, New York, to Louis Henry Mollenhauer and Minna Helen Mollenhauer (Jacobs). He lived a full and blessed life, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication to family.
Derrik graduated from William Cullen Bryant High School in Astoria, New York, in 1963, and later attended Texas Lutheran College in Seguin, Texas. A hardworking and resourceful man, Derrik owned and operated a Phillips 66 service station before joining Champion Sparkplug, where he worked for many years and other Large Manufacturing Companies as an Industrial salesman. He was an early adopter of computers and technology, embracing innovation with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Derrik had a passion for cooking, especially recreating his mother’s traditional German recipes, and he loved filling his home with the sounds of his classic rock music. He was an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Texans, cheering on his favorite teams with unwavering loyalty.
Above all, Derrik was a man who cherished his family deeply. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His kind spirit, sense of humor, and love will be greatly missed by all who know him.
Derrik was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Minna Mollenhauer, and his beloved niece, Heidi Mollenhauer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debora Mollenhauer; his son, Mark Graebener, and daughter-in-law, Angela; and his grandsons, Mark and Matthew Graebener. He is also survived by his brother, Henry Mollenhauer, and sister-in-law, Sherry; nephew, Eric Mollenhauer, and wife, Beth; great-nieces, Keli Mollenhauer, Sarah Mollenhauer, and Joy (Mollenhauer) Spurr and husband, Andrew; great-nephews, Ben Mollenhauer and wife, Lena, and Luke Mollenhauer; great-great-niece, Lane Heidi Spurr; and cousins Karen (Kappler), Emma Spinnenweber, and Ellie Buggeln.
Though we grieve his passing, we rejoice knowing that he has entered eternal rest with his Savior, free from pain and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.
