Frank was a San Antonio native, born and raised, from a family who held education and the Catholic faith to the highest esteem. He attended St. Luke's Catholic School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1999. After graduating from high school, he attended St. Mary's University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Communication Arts in 2003.
In 2005, he began his law enforcement career as a police officer with the Fair Oaks Police Department. Later in 2008, he entered the San Antonio Police Academy and began his career with the department. He served on patrol for two years before transferring to the Traffic/DWI unit and in 2013 became a member of the San Antonio Police Department’s S.W.A.T. Team. Frank was highly respected and known for his bravery and commitment to keeping the San Antonio community safe. His proudest moments were serving five years with his brothers on the S.W.A.T. Team where he received numerous accolades and recognitions as a member of their competition team. In 2012, Frank became a certified Level 1 CrossFit Instructor. His pursuit of physical fitness and tactical performance demonstrated the pride he possessed in protecting the public and his fellow brothers in life and death situations. This was his greatest honor and privilege. In 2018, he was promoted to the rank of Detective Investigator where he served for four years until his end of watch.
Frank met his wife Adrienne while in high school and later married in 2010; holding sacred 12 years of marriage. They were blessed with two loving and beautiful girls, Emma Belle Rodriguez (2008) and Sofia Caroline Rodriguez (2014). Frank had a profound and protective love for his wife and daughters. He stood firm in his values and highly encouraged his girls to dream big and to stand strong in the principles of leadership, hard work, and self-love.
