Diane Wetzel, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, died Nov. 18. 2022. Diane was devoted to her family and friends, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She always demonstrated love through her actions and was a very caring and kind person, never hesitating to offer her support and help to her family and friends. She was also a fiercely independent person with a dry sense of humor and a delightful spirit. During her long career as a certified occupational therapy assistant in the San Antonio State Hospital, Diane was a leader, instructor, and innovative professional, and was highly respected by her colleagues. She retired in 2013 and spent the next years happily spoiling her great-nephews, enjoying her dogs, and keeping up with her family and friends.
Her funeral service will take place Monday, Dec. 19 at 12:30p at St. Pius X Church, 3303 Urban Crest Dr., San Antonio, followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to an organization that supports foster children or foster youth aging out of the system.
