Dolores Navarro Sanchez was born on March 30, 1934 and passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the age of 88. She was born in Taylor, Texas to Silviano and Alvina Navarro. Dolores spent many years in the customer service industry at Homeside Lending, Superior Bank, Chase Bank and Conn Appliance, Inc. She was of the firm belief that keeping mentally and physically active are essential and she worked well into her eighties at the Lakehills Area Library and the Bandera County Courthouse providing clerical and administrative support. After her last work assignment ended, she continued her wellness journey by walking on her treadmill, riding her exercise bike, and working out at the San Antonio Northeast Senior Center. She was a true inspiration to her family and we all wished we had the discipline Dolores had to exercise and eat right. On the other hand, she occasionally enjoyed a puffy taco or two and a good margarita ☺
Dolores leaves behind a family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her son Richard Sanchez and wife Sandy, her daughter Jennifer Grigsby and husband John, grandchildren Sophia and Savannah Comstock, Mina and Johnny Grigsby, Erin and Kristofer Sanchez, and Leah Thomsen and husband Travis. She is also survived by her siblings Sylvia Stapleton and husband Bill, Andrew Navarro, Yvonne Iversen, and Mary Lou Thompson. Preceding Dolores in death are her parents Silviano and Alvina Navarro, brothers Richard, Raymond, and Michael Navarro, sister Frances Cervantes, granddaughter Sarah Comstock and son-in-law Michael Comstock.
A family memorial will be held at a later date. Donations in Dolores' memory to the charity of your choice are appreciated.
