

He attended Harlingen High School and received his BBA from Texas A&I University. He worked in the banking and finance industry for 35 years. He was active in the Chamber of Commerce and numerous community organizations during his working years.
Don was one-of-a-kind and always loved to have a good time. He especially enjoyed country music, dancing, family vacations and reunions. His favorite place to spend time was in his garden and the outdoors.
Don was exceptionally proud of his two grandsons, Josh and Blake. He adored the fun times he shared with them.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Joy Pogue Westlake; daughters, Amy Westlake and husband Jayson Witt, and Patrice McKenna and husband Mike; grandsons, Joshua Michael and James Blake McKenna; sister, Kay Dadson and husband Jim; brother, Kelly Westlake; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
