Dora Olga McEnery

Dora McEnery was born to Otto and Thelka Dieckow on June 21, 1921 and died Thursday, February 23, 2017, in San Antonio, at the age of 95 years. She married Philip C. McEnery December 10, 1938 and they shared 63 years together until his death in 2002.

Dora was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was active in her children's schooling and held various positions in the PTA. She was an active member of Highland Park Lutheran Church until she could no longer attend.

Dora is survived by her sons, Philip O. McEnery and wife, Rosemary, Gary D. McEnery and wife, Nancy; her daughters, Gail Kluth and husband, Leroy, and Janice Owen; Grandchildren, Chris McEnery, Mike McEnery, Debbie Edwards, Bonnie Herron, Amy Elbow, Lea Pond, Butch Kluth, Laurie Nolan and Jennifer Jacobs; 16 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and one sister.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Thomas Scott Owen. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Porter Loring.
