I am so sorry for the loss of Mrs. Cox - she was my favorite teacher at Winston Churchill and helped me get through my freshmen year at Boston university through email correspondence. She will be dearly missed and was loved so much by her students.

It is crazy to think it has been almost 10 years since I had you as an English Teacher. Thank you for being stern with me and making me grow up. Rest in peace,

So very sorry to hear about this. I remember meeting Doris the very first day she came to Madison. She was bright and smart and fun. May all who loved her be comforted when reflecting upon the happiest times you spent with her and the sound of her laughter. Her Madison family will carry her in their hearts always.

When we think about Doris, our hearts fill up with love and joy. The love that shone through her eyes expressed how much she loved her family, friends and life. She reminds us of making the most of every experience and overcoming with joy. She has touched our lives in a very special way and have been honored to pray for her and her family during this difficult journey. We continue to pray for God's love and comfort to surround her family and friends.

Mrs. Cox, then Boyers, was my creative writing teacher at JMHS in 1997 and 1998. She was so fun to be around and always liked making us laugh. She really loved letting us write and being expressive. I had run into her at HEB a while back and she talked to me like nothing had changed since I was her student. I can't believe she's gone. God be with her and her family.

Al and I are devastated by Doris's passing. She was a truly vibrant woman, mother, and wife! She will be missed by an incredible number of friends and students. I thought she was an amazing and gifted teacher. 
I am so sorry that I am in DC with my mother and I will not be able to pay final respect to Doris on Monday. You will remain in our thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. May you find peace in your memories and in the knowledge that she is no longer in pain. She is walking in God's Garden and visiting with family and friends that have passed.

Rest in Peace Doris. My heart is so heavy but knowing you are free from pain and have a new heacenly home, is comforting. Prayers for your family as they mourn your loss.

Doris was a colleague and friend for many years. She was a dedicated mother, wife, and teacher who has left a significant legacy in her lifetime. May she rest in peace.
