Doris Elaine Lopez, “Doe”, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, was called home by the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the age of 59, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on October 7, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas to her parents, Juan R. and Maria Garcia Lombrano. Doris was a shining example of selflessness, kindness, and generosity, always putting others before herself. She lived life to the fullest and as she would always say, “I walk with Jesus everyday”. Doe had a heart of gold, filled with love that she shared with everyone she encountered. She deeply loved all of her family and friends and was an inspiration for others around her. Doe had a passion for shopping and cooking, using her talents to create delicious meals for her friends and family. Her meals brought people together and filled their hearts with warmth and comfort. Some of her best dishes were frijoles borachos, potato salad, sweet potato casserole, and homemade tortillas. In addition to her love of food, Doris was an avid baseball fan, enjoying nothing more than cheering on her favorite teams like The New York Yankees, and The Los Angeles Dodgers. Despite the health challenges she faced in life, Doris never lost her faith in God. Her faith was her guiding light, giving her the strength and peace to face each day with grace and determination. Doris's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially two of her lifelong friends, Annie Garza, and Laura Govea, as well as her dear friend Jose Rodriguez.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Theodoro G. Lopez; and brother, David Allan Lombrano. Doris is survived by her brothers, Paul Lombrano and his wife, Margaret, and Juan C. Lombrano; and nieces, Megan Rose Lombrano, and Alyssa Lorraine Murillo, (Christian).
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
