

Dorotha Marie Moore Burns of San Antonio, died Sunday, October 21, 2001. She was born May 28, 1920 to Sam and Opal Moore in Dawson County, Texas. Married to Winfred H. Burns for 42 loving and devoted years, she was a bookkeeper for their business, Burns Trucking. Mrs. Burns retired from Friedrich Refrigeration and Air Conditioning as an accountant. After retirement, she continued to work as Browning United Methodist Church's bookkeeper. In the last year, she was assisted by her sister, Teeny Brown. Mrs. Burns was dedicated to the Lord and her Church, and her life revolved around her family, whom she loved unconditionally. She had many friends who loved her and will miss her greatly. Mrs. Burns was known for her loyalty and strength. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred H. Burns, March 15, 1979; son, Samuel Hardy Burns; brother, Clyde Moore; and parents, Sam and Opal Moore. Survivors: daughter, Dawn Percival, and son-in-law, Ed of Bryan, TX; sisters, Winnie Kilpatrick Parrack, Geraldine Warden Garner, both of Ft. Worth, TX and Forrestine Brown of San Antonio; grandchildren, D.D. and Jean-Philippe Dufoin, Lise and Greg Cummings, Albert Percival and Lydia and Phil Meuret; great-grandchildren, Kelley Leeanne and Zachary Jarrott, Cody, Kara and Claire Cummings, Jackson, Jacob and Reagan Meuret; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, who will miss her dearly; sisters-in-law, Opal Burns and Gloria Burns, Fred and Sissy Burns of Uvalde, TX.
