Dorothy H. Howard passed away April 12, 2012. She was born January 25, 1924 in Atlanta, Georgia. She married Perry L. Howard, Sr. in 1942 in which she began her career as a military housewife for 30 years. Upon their retirement, they both moved to San Antonio where she began to volunteer for a number of organizations; Fiesta Texas, Salvation Army, Red Cross, and was a member of the Ft. Sam Houston Officer’s Wives Club to name a few.
She is survived by her two sons; Perry who lives in California and Mark of North Texas. She has four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years and her daughter, Patricia Ann.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 4PM to 6PM at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 9AM at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
