Dorothy Christine Maleske was received into glory at the age of 100 years and 8 months. She was born on September 8, 1922 in Norman, Oklahoma, the youngest of 4 daughters of Henry and Hulda (nee Hansmeyer) Kuhlman. She was married for 57 years to the late Rev. Dr. Harold J. Maleske and is the beloved mother of Allen Maleske (Beverly), Kenneth Maleske, Madeleine Golian (Tim), and Michael Maleske; beloved grandmother of 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. As a pastor’s wife, she served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, soloist, and as a member of numerous ladies’ groups. She worked 30 years as a valued saleswoman for The Broadway department stores in Southern California. Her love of flowers, coupled with her “green thumb,” showcased her beautiful backyard gardens. All those who knew her were touched by her unwavering faith and her kind and generous heart.
