

Wayne lived in San Antonio all of his life. He graduated from Churchill high school and over many years built a very successful business in San Antonio, Alamo Body and Paint.
Wayne sold it in 1998, and turned to his hobby of racing. He loved speed and cars, especially Porches and traveled the area racing his dragster for many years winning countless trophies.
Wayne had a love of water as well, and was a certified scuba diver. He had a home on Lake Travis where he enjoyed power and sail boating and fishing with his family. Wayne enjoyed taking many family trips to Las Vegas and St. Johns. He loved his family very much especially his beloved labs, Daisy and Amber.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 38 years, Heloise Donaldson Baker; daughter, Kathryn Baker Bozeman and husband, Bryan Bozeman of Denver; son, Douglas Wayne Baker II and daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Baker of San Antonio; his father, Floyd Baker; stepmother, Delores Jeffrey and husband, Paul, brother, Gary Baker and wife, Arlene; sisters, Marilyn Baker Johnson, Debbie Cross with husband, Donnie, and Tamsin Hudak all of San Antonio; grandchildren Pierce and Stella Bozeman and Aleah Garcia and many nieces and nephews and in-laws.
