Earle P. Brown, age 82, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2007. Retired after 30 years of service with the US Air Force, he served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam, as a navigator, missile and safety officer.
He was an avid photographer, enjoyed traveling and telling stories of his experiences in the military. In his military career, his later work with USAA, and in his everyday life, Lt. Col. Brown was known for his great honor, steadfast integrity, and uncritical compassion.
His empathy, gentle wit, and lively storytelling brightened the lives of all he met. Truly the world is a better place for having been blessed with Earle Paul Brown.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth, in 1981 and brother, William. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn M. Brown of San Antonio, Texas; his son, Robert E. Brown of Austin, Texas; his sister, Janet Gawel; step-son, Dr. Walter M. Breen and wife, Yvonne of Dallas, Texas; two step-grandchildren, Joanna Zabolio and Nathalie Phillips and six step-great-grandchildren.
