Edna Jonas Bowers

Edna Jonas Bowers was called to her heavenly home on November 13, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 99. Born on February 17, 1925, Edna was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother whose greatest joy was her family.

For 52 beautiful years, Edna was the dedicated wife of Jerry Bowers. Together, they shared a love for dancing, lighting up the dance floor every weekend with their rhythm and grace. Edna also found happiness in the kitchen, especially during the holidays, when she lovingly prepared meals that brought her family together. Her life was deeply rooted in faith, and her favorite prayer, Psalm 23, was a source of comfort and guidance.

Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Bowers; her son, Gerald Jr.; and her grandson, Edward Wolak III.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories through her children: Greg Bowers, Edward Wolak, Robert Wolak, Debbi Terrazas (James), and Liz Taylor (Rick). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Mike Burns (Samera), Jeanette Luna (Jay), Gerald Wolak, John Taylor, and Jesse Taylor; and her great-grandchild, Bode Burns.

Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
