

She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Edna Mae was a friend and confidant to many people. She raised three children and when they were off on their own, she began working at Weight Watcher for many years. She made many friends there including her best friend “Misty Martha”. She was the consummate Army wife, following her husband of 60 years all over the world. She volunteered at the maternity ward at the military hospital and at the thrift shop. She was a member of the Officer’s Wife’s club and did everything she could to further her husband’s career. She was wonderful at dinner and cocktail parties making sure everyone felt comfortable and at ease. She loved her angel collection, gardening, and many crafts. She will be remembered as a best friend to everyone, a remarkable sister and aunt, and a loving mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Colonel Roy E. Wratislaw (U.S. Army, Retired).
She is survived by her children, Roy Alan, Sherry, and Donald; daughter-in-law Phyllis, grandchildren, Jenny Herrera, Elizabeth Morrison, and Ronnie Morrison; four great grandchildren, Katera, Richard, Darrean and Bradley; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jimmy Koranek of Cuero, Texas; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 12 noon, Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Church of the Resurrection, 5909 Walzem Rd., San Antonio, TX 78218. The burial will continue at 1:30 p.m., at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice, the Church of Resurrection Episcopalian in Windcrest.
