'I remember Eddie sitting behind me in the 2nd grade always teasing and pulling 
my hair. Growing up as next door neighbors Eddie, Fred and I would play darts,chinese checkers and listen to the latest 45's.He was always fun to be with, with his hair slicked to the side and both him and Fred having their mom 
chase them down the street running to their grandmothers to save them. Eddie was always helping others except when it came to lawn work I remember him running over his moms water water hose. As the years went by he became my Brother In Law, he was always there when I needed him, he was amazing, fun, caring, helpful. My Momma who is 85 yrs loved him because Eddie would do many favors for her and never expected anything in return. She says he was a blessing. Dear Eddie you were a blessing to everyone who knew you. As the years went by I had the pleasure of seeing you again and even though we were no longer inlaws, because of your unconditional love,you still considered me your sister in law and in return I felt the same about you. 
The memories of all the caring, fun and crazy things you did will always be associated with Eddie Benavides. 
You will always have a special place in my heart.'

We gave him a hard time,but he just laughed it off and continued on,nothing would phase him. He's energy was constant doing something everyday just to keep hinself busy. When he married Sylvia ,he would always say Hey David ,I'm you're new brother-in-law and would repeat the same pharse over and over to all our family members.
