Edward Joseph McGinn, age 65, was born in Hingham, MA on October 12, 1936. He went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, December 10, 2001 after battling heart disease for many years. Mr. McGinn brought his family to San Antonio in 1974. He was a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend. Mr. McGinn lived his life dedicated to his family and he will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, James McGinn; mother, Margaret McGinn and sister, Ann Coner. He is survived by his wife, Helen McGinn; children, Maura Nelson and husband Don of San Antonio, TX, Ted McGinn and wife Andrea of Pagosa Springs, CO, Martha Smith and husband Wes of Flower Mound, TX, and Susan McGinn of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Shea and Riley Nelson, Elle and Aidan McGinn and Dean and Abby Smith; brother, James McGinn of Dennis, MA, and sisters, Betty Culbert of Hingham, MA and Marjorie Duverger of Marshfield, MA; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
