Elaine McClain Palmer, age 68, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on March 2, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA to parents, Sammuel and Laura McClain. Elaine was preceded in death by her father, Sammuel R. McClain and late husband, Dr. Walter L. Palmer, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Rhoda LaJuan Palmer; daughter, Dr. Tahira Palmer Alves and husband, Dr. Patrice Alves; mother, Laura McClain; grandson, Walter Sergio Alves; sister, Elizabeth Davenport and husband, Carl Zipzer; brother, Ficcaro McClain; niece, Sydney Davenport; niece, Felicia McClain. She will be remembered most as a beloved mother, loving sister, daughter and dedicated nurse. Her spirit and strength will continue to endure within all of her loved ones.
