Elbert Eugene Green

He was born in Marble Falls, TX, on November 4, 1934, to the late Oda and Inas Green. He was employed by Southwestern Refinery, Corpus Christi, TX, for 31 years, coming to San Antonio in 1984 and working for Valero Energy for 13 years until retirement. He was a member of Independence Lodge #1337 A.F. & A.M. in Corpus Christi and was a member of Alzafar Shrine Temple upon moving to San Antonio. His enjoyment in life was deer hunting, his granddaughters, and family vacations.

Bert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gloria; daughters Cindy Rich Mike of San Antonio, TX, and Tammie Kittinger Kenneth of Sugarland, TX; 4 granddaughters, Lindsey and Lauren Rich, and Kelsey and Haley Kittinger; and 2 sisters, Retha Greeson Doyle of Portland, TX, and Betty Wurth Dick of Paducah, KY. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dwight Green of Berclair, TX; both parents, Inas and Oda Green, and his stepfather, Thomas Leavell, all of Austin, TX.
