Eldon N. (Don) Tomerlin, age 60, was unexpectedly called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 30, 2013. He was born June 28, 1952 to the late Eldon and Margie Tomerlin. He was a kind and compassionate person who had a great sense of humor. He and his devoted wife of 40 years, Ann, rescued and adopted numerous animals throughout their years together. He will be forever missed. Eldon loved deep sea fishing, collecting antiques and watching the history channel. He was blessed with a photographic memory and had a wealth of knowledge about most any topic. He is survived by his wife, Ann; sister, Dianna Kaupert and husband J. L.; nephews, Rance Kaupert and family and Jason Kaupert and family, as well as his adoring pets, Scooter, Red and Mimi. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. J. V. Foster, will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 11:30am at Bethesda Christian Church, 2210 Basse Rd., San Antonio, TX. with a reception to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the San Antonio Humane Society or the Animal Defense League.
