

Cummins, Eleanor Emma Cline, 92, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012. Eleanor was born in Bath ME; and, in 1963, after many years of moving up and down the eastern seaboard in her role as a military spouse, she and her family settled in Texas. Eleanor was a cosmetic consultant for Merle Norman in North Star Mall for almost two decades. She retired when she married her second husband and love of her life, Roy, in January of 1988, and she remained a longtime resident of Castle Hills in San Antonio until Roy's passing.
She has lived for the past five years in Astor, FL, with her daughter, Karla Johnson; son-in-law, Michael Johnson; and beloved dog, Max. Eleanor was preceded to Heaven by her husband of 18 years, Roy P. Cummins of San Antonio, and her son, Steven Alexander Cline of Homestead, Florida. She leaves behind a large extended family including her stepdaughter Marilyn Leighman (Bryan, TX); daughter Brenda Cline (Swarthmore, PA); grandchildren Zach W. Quidley (Chesapeake, VA), Stephanie C. Mugler (Virginia Beach, VA), Alexander and Evan Cline (Swarthmore, PA); step-grandson Jeremy Johnson (Virginia Beach); sister Isabel Velez (Bayville, NJ) and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers Eleanor's grateful family requests donations in her memory to Halifax Health Hospice West Volusia Care Center, 1625 Veterans Memorial Drive, Orange City, FL 32763 (or online at www.hovf.org). Eleanor will be buried alongside Roy, and arrangements will be handled by Sunset Funeral Home at 1701 Austin Highway in San Antonio.
A public viewing will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Sunday, November 18 beginning at 6 p.m.; and funeral services will be held in their chapel on Monday at noon. Family and friends will gather at the home of Anthony and Kathy Friedrich at 221 Carolwood Drive in Castle Hills following the burial.
