Our beloved father, Elenzo H. "Doc" Ramsey, Jr., died peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2008. He was born in Cross Plains, Texas to Elenzo H. Ramsey and Hattie Griggs.
Doc attended Rising Star High School and graduated from Tarleton College and Baylor Dental School. Doc was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Wilma Waters, and his wife, Lois L. Ramsey.
Doc is survived by his devoted daughters, Lois Lyn Ramsey and Judith Ramsey Saldana; and son, William S. Lester; grandsons, Spencer Ramsey Saldana, Vincent Francisco Saldana, Antonio Elenzo Saldana and John Vanderford. Doc enjoyed life especially a good joke and had many wonderful friends who shared his passion for golf and hunting. A Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, Doc served in Korea and in the Naval Reserve. His strength, courage and grace under difficult circumstances were inspiring to all who knew him. He will live in our hearts forever. Doc's daughters would like to express their love and gratitude to Leti Trevino for her loving care of "Ramsey" in his last years.
