Elida A. Carreon

She was born May 16, 1961 in San Antonio, Texas, She had the most infectious smile and laugh that she shared with so many. She loved being surrounded by family the most. She and her brother were most known for planning camping trips, holiday gatherings, barbequing and lots of trips to the river with the kids. Her Husband and her, were friends since childhood, that grew into a loving home with four children and grandsons in the later years. She never ceased to share her love for the Lord and share the good news with others, she loved as He loved.

She was a precious wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She is preceded in death by her parents Alexander and Juanita Anderson; sisters Sylvia Anderson and Janie Hernandez; brothers David and Daniel Anderson.

She is survived by her husband Michael Carreon, children Christopher Serda, Christina Carreon, Denise Carreon and Valarie Rodriguez and son-in-law Eric Rodriguez. Along with her three grandsons Aiden Michael Vasquez, Zachary and Alexander Rodriguez and Honorary son, Joe Anthony Figueroa. Siblings; Alejandro Anderson & Yolanda Cervantes and husband Avelino Cervantes Jr., along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

We would like to extend our greatest appreciation to her care provider Graciela Gallegos not just for her care, but the friendship she extended; to her niece Geraline Vasquez for her great love, support and care for our mother; and to the staff at Embrace hospice for all the care and kindness they showed my mother in the end.

She will be truly missed by so many, but we have comfort that she is reunited with our Savior and so many loved ones.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home on February 11, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a prayer service starting at 7:00 pm.
