She was the second daughter born to Daisy Armistead and Robert Latta Laverty.
She was a resident of San Antonio for over 75 years and graduated from Main Avenue High School.
Mrs. Pawkett was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
Along with her late husband, Lawrence Pawkett, she had been a Charter Member of the Argyle and Oak Hills Country Club. During her active years, she was involved with a number of social and charitable organizations, including the Battle of Flowers Association and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Hardin and Eleanor Roberts. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Mann and Margaret Pawkett; granddaughters, Kimberly Mann of Houston, TX and Karen Sumner; great grandsons, Wil and Nicholas Sumner, all of Honolulu, HI; her brother, Robert Laverty of Versailles, France; numerous nieces and nephews with special mention of Lynn Gilbert, Mimi McGannon and Betty Cox of San Antonio.
