

Gwyneth graduated from Mankato State University in 1941 where she met the love of her life, Thomas C. Hanzel. They married in June of 1942 and enjoyed 59 years together.
Tom made the Air Force his first career and Gwyneth traveled with him on assignments when it was permitted and managed the family alone when he was stationed overseas. The Hanzels made San Antonio their permanent home in 1960.
Gwyneth was a bright, immaculate woman of small stature and strong beliefs. She encouraged independence in her children and was their firm advocate. Her grandchildren gave her special pleasure and Gwyneth took great pride in each and every one of them.
Gwyneth was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne, and her beloved husband, Tom. She is survived by her son, Steve and wife, Betsy; grandchildren, Teal Hanzel and wife Erika, Parker Hanzel and wife Kristen, Taylor Losack and husband Ben, Pace McCarty and husband, Tim; great - grandchildren, Cottar Hanzel and Marjorie Losack; brothers, Irwin C. Brown and Clinton Brown.
Pallbearers: Teal Hanzel, Parker Hanzel, Ben Losack, Tim McCarty, Clinton Brown and Kenneth Brown.
