He was born on Jan. 28, 1936 in Danevang, TX, the fifth son of Lars and Dora Wind.
After earning his degree in Petroleum Engineering from TX A&I University, Ellis married the love of his life, and began his career in the Natural Gas Industry. Ellis earned the respect of his peers for many years ultimately retiring to start his own company.
He enjoyed life to the fullest and is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 47 years, Mary Ann; daughter, Karin; son, Paul and his wife, Cathy; daughter, Ruth Ann and husband, Jim Bartosh. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren, Lyndon and Bethany Bartosh and Lindsey Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be offered to Danevang Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 246, or the Danish Heritage Preservation Society, P.O. Box 386, Danevang, TX 77432.
