Vera Hernandez, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 11, 2021. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, niece, cousin and friend. She was born on January 24, 1944 in San Antonio, Tx, she went to Fox Tech high school and after graduation became a beautician. Her next adventure in life would lead her to Olmos Elementary as the school secretary where she met her life long friends. Vera loved to travel, dance, laugh and spend as much time as she could with her granddaughter Bella, friends and family. She fought a brave battle till the end while still thinking of others first. She was a spiritual woman who touched all that knew her and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Quiroz. Vera is survived by her husband, Leo Hernandez; son Paul Anthony Hernandez; daughter, Patricia Ann Bandle (Philip); granddaughter, Isabella F. Bandle; Aunt Janie and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Porter Loring Mortuary.
