

He was born August 23, 1924 in East Orange, N.J to Catherine and Grafton McGuire and he spent his early years in Red Bank and Newark, New Jersey.
A proud former Marine, he served in the South and Central Pacific during World War II. Upon returning from overseas, he was stationed at Eagle Mountain Lake Marine Base in FT. Worth Texas, where he met his future wife of 61 years, Annelle Roquemore, also of Ft Worth. Upon his discharge from the Marines, he returned to New Jersey while his future wife completed her final year at the University of Texas. Upon her graduation, they married and Mac enrolled at North Texas Agriculture College, Arlington, Texas. After his freshman year, he transferred to the University of Texas. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1951, while receiving his Masters in 1957. He was employed by Air Force Civil Engineering for 30 years at Kelly and Randolph Air Force Base. As Chief Industrial Engineer, he received numerous awards and upon retirement, received the Outstanding Civilian Service Award Medal.
Mr. McGuire was a Member of Order of Alhambra, Bexar 56. He served as a Eucharistic Minister at St Francis of Assisi.
He is preceded in death by his son, John Robert McGuire; sister, Anita; and brothers, Charlie and George.
He is survived by his wife, Annelle; daughter, Mary Lynn McNallie and husband Vic of Austin; sons, Mike McGuire and his wife Terry of El Paso; Rocky McGuire and wife Monica with daughters Jennifer, Kelli, and Michelle all of Pflugerville; Mark McGuire with daughters Krista McGuire, Tera McMunn and Marsha Sheedy; and Jim McGuire of Austin.
