She graduated in 1950 from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas and had a career as an RN for 30 years. She worked for doctors and in hospitals. After retiring from nursing she worked as an interior decorator and following that she got her realtors license and sold homes for some time. Ermal had a great love for the P.E.O. organization and was a charter member of the Chapter GR in San Antonio. Her greatest love was for her children and their spouses. She was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild who she loved and enjoyed every chance she had. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Dolah Tucker. Ermal is survived by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth O. Floyd; her sons, Gary L. Floyd and wife, Debbie and Kenton D. Floyd and wife, Barbara all of Amarillo, TX; her brother, William Tucker of Sanger, TX; her sister, Barbara Robertson of Perryton, TX; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
