Estela Eichbauer

Estela Flores Eichbauer, joined our Lord on Sunday, July the 10th, 2022, after a formidable battle with Alzheimer's related dementia. Estela was born in Sanderson, Tx on July 21st, 1936 to Sabas Flores and Jesusita Martinez and was the oldest of three daughters. Estela left Sanderson as a young adult and moved to San Antonio, Tx where she obtained a degree from San Antonio College. She began her professional career working at City Hall for several years and later embarked upon a lengthy and rewarding career with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, where she eventually retired from many years later.

She lived her life with purpose and devotion and insisted on enjoying herself and the company she kept - usually with a glass of wine in her hand. She loved to socialize and involved herself in many groups and volunteer initiatives. Her work ethic was strong and her devotion to family was second to none. There was nothing she loved more than being a mom - except maybe the Spurs and her cats 😆. Estela is survived by her sons Eric and Ross, her sister Anabelia, two grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation for Estela will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 8:30 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou Drive, San Antonio, TX 78228, with rosary service recited from 9:00 AM with a funeral mass to follow at 9:30 AM.

Estela will be laid to rest in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78209.
