Estella Alvarado Guerrero

Our precious Mother, Estella Alvarado Guerrero, entered the kingdom of Almighty God on April 22, 2017. She joins her husband Manuel Guerrero and daughter Doris Marie Guerrero, her brother and sisters Manuel Alvarado Jr., Maria Del Refugio Rossell, Alicia Gonzales, Francisca Mata, Hortencia Salazar, Leonor Moreno, Elida Estrada and Emma Alvarado.

She is survived by her sons and daughters, Richard Guerrero, Maria Del Rosario Chairez, Becky Bustos, Mary Helen Guerrero, Manuel Guerrero Jr. and Michael Guerrero.

She has 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

We give thanks and praise to the Lord God our Father, through the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, for the 80 years he gifted all of us who knew her, with her life, her love and her wisdom!

She was born on September 6, 1936 in Laredo, Texas. She came to San Antonio with her parents at the age of 13. She later met and married singer/ musician Manuel Guerrero and had 6 children. She was a housewife all her life. Her husband Manuel joined the military and they traveled to Europe during that time. She is loved by many and will be forever remembered for her inner strength, her compassion and her love.

She strengthened many of us with her honest, good, solid advice. She was a great listener in your time of need. There were always great conversations over coffee. She loved bingo, gambling once in a while, long drives just enjoying the beautiful day and stopping for ice cream, movies and popcorn, she really liked eating out at restaurants and spending time at the mall. She liked being outdoors at the coffee festival, or outdoor markets on the weekend. Her favorite accordion player, besides her husband Manuel, was Alex Meixner We took her to see him at the New Braunfels Wurstfest many times! She loved all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren!

Though we are so sad now, we will live well and happy in celebration of her life! She would have wanted it that way now that she is in the care of our Father in heaven. We love you so dearly Mom! We know that there is much rejoicing in heaven as you are welcomed into God's Kingdom, a place prepared for you and us from the beginning!
