Those who met her for five minutes or knew her for 50 years described Stella as "quite a character." Her strong personality and love of glitz, glam and hats created unforgettable encounters wherever she went.
Stella endured the Nazi bombings during her childhood in London and served in the Red Cross in her teens. WWII also brought her future husband to the UK: She and American GI Morris Rosenfeld married in England, moved to the States after the war, and raised three daughters.
An avid seamstress and knitter, Stella enjoyed giving handmade items to friends and acquaintances alike. She was an active member of Congregation Agudas Achim, performed in community theater, and volunteered as an usher at the Majestic.
She enjoyed traveling abroad, sailing and the sea. Among her proudest moments were winning Senior Olympics medals for swimming.
Stella is preceded in death by her eldest daughter Nancy Rosenfeld. She is survived by her brother, Maurice Gluck of Florida; and her daughters, Dale Rosenfeld of Hawaii, and Julia Rosenfeld of San Antonio.
