Our beautiful and loving mother, Ethelvina P. Ibarra, was called home to be with the Lord, at the blessed age of 90, on Saturday, July 12, 2025. She was born January 18, 1935, in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Mexico to Herberto Pérez Ruiz and Maria De Los Santos de Pérez.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Manuel G. Ibarra; her son, Manuel Ibarra; parents and three sisters. Ethelvina is survived by her brother, Victor Pérez De Los Santos; daughter in law, Nancy G. Ibarra; children, Ethelvina Ibarra Pérez (Andres Pérez), Leticia Ibarra Estrada (Ruben Estrada), Marisa Ibarra Urias (Edward Urias); grandchildren, Andres Pérez, Carmen Benavides, David Pérez, Avery Anne Riley, Ruben Estrada, Alejandro Estrada, Ian Urias, Claudia Ibarra, Christina Ibarra, Marisa Urias, Cynthia Ibarra; great grandchildren, Andres Bono Pérez, Sebastian Evans Pérez, Penelope Anne Pérez, Lysander Riley Pérez, Eduardo Benavides and Daniel Benavides.
Ethelvina P. Ibarra grew up in a small quaint town in Mexico north of Monterrey, Sabinas, Hidalgo. This is where she met the love of her life, Manuel G. Ibarra. They married and soon after moved to Monterrey then Mexico City and continued to settle in San Antonio.
While growing up in Sabinas, she enjoyed the simple life, she loved going to dances and entering contests, caring for her home and family and spending time with them.
In later years she also enjoyed going to play Bingo and traveling to Las Vegas, she was a great wife, loving and beautiful mother, fabulous grandmother and blessed great grandmother.
Our mother did not like being the center of attention, she deserves to have her long years of motherly love honored. She was a woman of love, kindness, generosity and left a lasting impact on everyone she knew.
We were all very blessed to have her for so many years. Now she is resting in peace surrounded by much love. We love you so much and will miss you forever.
A Service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at the Holy Cross Mausoleum Chapel 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266.
